FMP Week 4

We ran into a hiccup on week 4 when Noah had an injury while practising the choreography. He landed on his arm and sprained it which meant we had to stop work on the stunt choreography and focus on location scouting and more pre production work. This experience taught us that no matter how safe we think it can be, we need to take all risk factors seriously and in future focus on creating a safe environment for the actors. It also made us take a step back and rethink some of the choreography stunts to find out if it was too dangerous. We got some advice from Elliot and learnt how to stunt fall and how to keep punches as close as they can be while remaining safe. Learning the stunt fall definitely helped with the safety of the choreography and learning to keep the punches in the same spot and 2 fists away meant that we were getting closer to realistic fighting by the end of week 4. Before Week 4, Igor had contacted a graphic designer to get some logos and promotional images for the film and this week they had been returned to us. During week 4 we also started on some filming, we filmed some shots in Igor’s bedroom in Bradville. There were a few issues with this, we overlooked that the bedroom we started filming in was just too small. The first shoot day we had 3 people in the production crew and it was a struggle to film in the room with everyone inside, The second problem we ran into was that Bradville was too remote and long distance to consistently be filming there. Those 2 factors mixed together meant that we changed the filming location to the bedroom in college as it was easily accessible to all of us and it was more than big enough to fit the crew while looking realistic.
