Week 10 was a big shoot day, we filmed the fight scenes in the Central train station which by far had the most actors and was the longest shoot day we had done. We started by filming some of the fight without the extras as they hadn’t arrived yet. We used the idea of putting the camera behind the action to cover up the fake punches as best as we could and it worked well.We ended up switching location to just around the corner in the skatepark and waiting for the extras to give the scene a more lively look with more civilians around. We opted to go for a wide shot on 2 cameras as we had the civilians around that we wanted to be seen and this way it would show them clearly. Looking back I would have opted to use a wide angle lens and explore other lens options for the film as for most of the film we used the regular lens on the camera. The recording schedule was slow and definitely could have gone quicker but communication was difficult when our director and producer was acting. I believe this was a weak point of the film that should have changed to avoid miscommunication on set, when the director is acting it’s extremely difficult to direct at the same time. I believe that we should have found an actor for the main character however difficult it may have been as it would have meant the director could direct more on set whilst recording.
